Veil Walker's Active: Place Cosmic Veil

Veil Walker is a very interesting item- it forces the user to think critically about their escape routes, memorizing the location of every cosmic veil on the map. When used correctly, it enables slower heroes like McGinnis to take more risky pushes by giving them a buffer to burn their shields, pass a veil and head for the hills.

One downside of this though, is that it is an item tethered to the pre-designated veil locations. by taking VW, you are forced to route your paths around veils- often forcing you into the jungle and out of the lane, even if your shortest theoretical path home is towards a zipline. Worse yet, it generates very little value in situations where a veil isn't easily accessible. So: give VW an Active effect.

This deployable cosmic veil would function similar to a Paradox Time Wall. It creates a rectangular cosmic veil which gives your team line of sight through it but blinds enemies to your team's location. This would synergize with VW itself, letting players create new escape routes to refresh their shields and go invisible through. It would untether them from pre-placed veils across the map and it would remain useful as a tool especially against long-range comps like vindicta, bebop or paradox. You could place this veil, for example, in a lane sightline to shut down easy hooks, You could place it near the urn dropoff to obscure the runner's position.

The biggest point of concern is the size and duration of this veil: too big, or too long, and it becomes a tool too useful for match stalling. It should be modest in size and duration, somewhere between the size of a garage door and a standard door. I think it should last a much shorter duration than most deployable actives, partially for balance and partially so it remains useful as a stealth tool. By keeping the veil duration short, enemies will be less likely to encounter a placed veil and therefore identify a Veil Walker user is in the area. It also means it is less useful as a stalling tool, but remains useful as a tool for throwing off one or two enemy abilities.
