Valve should honestly add a solid PvE mode, like Mann vs. Machine or other co-op PvE game modes. PvP-only games are rough for new players and casuals — you jump in, get stomped, and quit before you even learn anything. PvE gives people a chill way to learn mechanics, maps, heroes/weapons, and just have fun without sweating every match.
Mann vs. Machine worked because it was approachable, replayable, and fun with friends. Stuff like wave-based co-op, objective defense, or roguelike-style PvE would bring in way more casual players and keep them around longer. Not everyone wants ranked stress — some people just want to vibe, shoot things, and feel useful.
PvE also makes the game way easier to recommend to friends who don’t usually play competitive games. More players, better retention, healthier community. It’s a win-win.
