I prefer dishonored 1! Don't like alot of the story in dishonored 2 and Emily just doesnt have as much aura as corvo even if she (probably) is the better written character. While the Jindosh mansion is by far the best dishonored level in the series and dishonored 2 didnt have to retcon it's story (lady boyle's story being changed so it's not corvo straight up selling boyle as a sex slave for the "good" route) but shadow walk wallclimb being scrapped still irks me lol.I love Dishonored so it would be neat to have a character inspired by Emily (or Corvo). However I wouldn't just do Emily from Dishonored like it's a crossover. Inspiration, not transplant...ation.
If someone like Corvo, you can have him be the Dishonored Assassin of British Royalty (or part of some organisation like the "Overseers of the Isles" (who protect Britain similar to the Baxter Society and related to the Royal Family). Britain is going through something political and Corvo was disgraced. He works with the Patrons to regain his standing and save the Royal Family from a curse or something.
Emily could be related, a member of "Overseers" who left after being cursed by an "Outsider" being. She works with the Patrons to either get rid of her abilities or to regain her station in the Overseers of the Isles. Perhaps she wants to learn what happened to Corvo and is following in his footsteps.

Unrelated but favourite Dishonored game?

I originally got inspired by someone using corvo but it very clearly didnt work in the context of deadlock.
Wind blast and rat swarm kinda work but blink is kinda boring in the context of deadlock and time stop/possession just dont work in the games context (time stop sounds like a balancing nightmare). With his kit all i can feel is "to play against this would be incredibly uninteresting or theyd have to change it so much that it wouldnt really be corvo anymore". by choosing emily i think you can kinda sidestep this as her kit surprisingly can be slid into deadlock really easily.
I think 1:1 emily could work if they do a crossover but theyd have to make it a variant of emily (same way dead by daylight works) e.g what if she couldnt manage to beat delilah and fled to the Pandyssian which now in the context of deadlock is no longer a barren jungle but just the rest of the world.
I'm mostly with that philosophy. here my goal was "lets try to get a character as 1:1 to the source material in a way that'd atleast work (that's why shadow walk is fisted in as a passive).I also prefer Dishonored 1. It's DLC's (Knife of Dunwall and the Brigmore Witches) are my favourite part of the franchise (Daud is my favourite protagonist. Has the most going on and he is "dishonored" but moreso dishonored himself and what he could be.
I rather have they not have Corvo be playable in 2 and give all attention to Emily. Agree about the Jindosh Mansion on being amazing but I didn't like how they just reused Delilah from the DLC. I get it but it makes Daud's story feel less special.
DOTO was ok. Wish it had more.

I think you need to approach it not as "Let's copy Dishonored into Deadlock" but more how do I get the *feel* of Dishonored into Deadlock. The fantasy of being an assassin with supernatural powers. So even if it isn't exactly like Corvo or Emily, they feel inspired and part of that 'creative lineage'.
There's never going to be a crossover like that in this game I bet on it. Maybe a skin, but not a full character.
