Shooting from cover is a common tactic in Deadlock, and often while doing so a hug red cross appears at your crosshair, complicating tracking.
I am not sure what the purpose of that cross is, as the player is still able to hit targets from behind cover even with the cross there. It just makes enemies much harder to see. I face this issue a lot when defending or attacking guardians.
If the goal of the cross was to show that the cover in front of the player is absorbing some of the shots - then it would be better to use more environmental visual feedback. As in, more pronounced decals/particle effects of bullets hitting cover in front of the player. That would not clutter the player's visibility like the red cross currently does.
