I have noticed several persistent issues with Deadlock’s Turkish localization that significantly affect both immersion and usability.
The most glaring problem is the literal translation of character names. While some names remain untranslated, the ones that are localized often sound awkward and break immersion. For example, Doorman has been translated as Kapıcı (which in Turkish is used for “building superintendent”), and Pocket has been translated as Cep (literally “pocket”). These direct translations distort the identity of the characters.
A second issue lies in the build browser’s language restriction. When the client is set to Turkish, the browser exclusively displays Turkish builds. It becomes impossible to search for or view English builds, which is a serious limitation for players who rely on international guides and community resources, most of which are written in English.
Deadlock’s current approach to localization—translating some names poorly while leaving others untouched—makes the game feel inconsistent and less authentic.
