For a long time now, I've seen the developers trying to balance Trophy Collector, and every time it either becomes too weak or 8-10 people in a lobby buy it (which is exactly what will happen after the latest update).
I suggest slightly changing the stack gain mechanic: give a stack only to the nearest player or two (similar to the Urn of Shadows in Dota). This way, we make the item useful for active supports and, at the same time, not as attractive for farming heroes. This change will force players to think more about their team's overall build and add more depth to the gameplay.
