The Shadow (Vigilante, Stealthy, Beguiling)
Name: Lamont Cranston

Tag Line: In a dark and mysterious voice - "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows! Muhahahahaha."

Not a new concept, but one from yesteryears old time radio drama from the 1930's. In many ways, he's Batman before Batman was a character concept. The character would be more Gun driven then Spirit, similar to Paradox by comparison. But Spirit Power can enhance Ability Performance in terms of Cooldown, Duration, and combat Performances, over Spirit Damage.

Weapons: Twin 1911 Colt .45
Speed & Agility: 7 Speed & 4 Agility

Powers -
1) Mind Manipulation: Becomes Invisible, similar to Haze, but shorter, because 3) below enhances it for more beneficial effects.

2) Hypnosis (Disorientating): Stun & Slow Enemy Heroes in a frontal line, similar to Silence Wave, lvl 3 Spirit Item. Can deal Spirit Damage.

3) Stealth Mastery: Improved combat bonuses from attacking by Stealth & Invisibility with improved lower Stealth Detection and Invisibility. They would enhance Backstabber, lvl 2 Weapon Item, Shadow Weave, lvl 4 Weapon Item, and Cosmic Veil, lvl 3 Vitality Item. This would be similar to Haze, but different, by focusing on Stealth and burst, situationally, over another passive Weapon Enhancement seen on Haze, Infernus, Mina, and Seven.

4) Master of Disguise: Randomly look like an Enemy Hero in match or, like Sinclair, target an Enemy Hero, save their appearance, to look like them. During the duration, character may swap appearance to a new Enemy Hero, if around and in range, once per Ult. They are untargetable, until they attack an Enemy Hero, but maintain the appearance, so as to be indistinguishable for the duration or until canceled. Their health bar mirrors the copied Enemy Heroes. Whatever damage the Hero takes, the Enemy Hero also takes. This means, before they attack, they can be healed by the Enemy Heroes, once they attack, they can be healed by Allied Heroes. If the Enemy Hero dies, the Ult ends. It becomes a game of cat and mouse with deadly consequences.

This means, that the Character can be in one lane, while the copied Enemy Hero in another. Us the Ult, attack Enemy Heroes, and that copied Enemy Hero can died from other Allied Team mates while the Character takes damage from other Enemy Heroes. It's a unique Ultimate idea.

Are you a TF2 spy fan perchance?

I love the idea in fiction where invisibility is not actual invisibility but just mentally removing yourself from someone's vision. Forcing them to ignore you and not exist.

What would be his motivation to participate in the Ritual?

I played it TF2 a few times but never got into it. I was playing original Counter Strike and Day of Defeat (WW2 FPS).

Given that The Shadow is a vigilante to fight crime. In the mystical world of Deadlock, Lemont Cranston is a rich person, who'd, like Bruce Wayn/Batman, would infiltrate high society to keep tabs on what's going on by day, while fighting crime by night. Given the nature of the Patrons to grant the winning side their wish or wishes, that's pretty power and world altering. Who knows what simple wish could backfire and turn into a 1980s/1990s horror movie (The Wishmaster). The Shadow's motivation would be acting as a Dark Horse by stopping the Patron from granting wishes. At least by morally questionable characters in game.

He's only backed by himself, skills, training, experience, and financial resources. There are groups, cults, factions, governments who'd love to have "power" to swing their weight around. Can any one person be trusted, even with the best intent? Grant it, Dynamo wanting his body back isn't nefarious. Or someone wanting info or bring someone to justice, like Holiday with The troubadour.
