I was thinking about how a hero based on the movie "The Fly" would be like in Deadlock. It literally makes perfect sense for the game and seems like something that is 100% possible in the setting. I think a scientist turned Fly from a failed experiment makes sense for the game.
The Fly
1 Regurgitation - [16 second CD]
Vomit infront of you, damaging enemies and coating terrain. Dealing spirit damage [damage].
NPCs(troopers, neutrals, mcgin turrets) that die to this ability also permanently increase this abilities spirit power by [amount per stack].
[very low damage base]
Upgrade 1: Heroes now grant [# stacks] on kill
Upgrade 2: 3 move speed on cast
Max Upgrade: Cooldown reduction on this ability based on total stacks
Note: Regurgitation is supposed to fall from height. It is NOT supposed to be like fathom spray where it is only targets infront of him. Range stat should increase how further it goes forward and enlarge the area where it lands. Think l4d boomer vomit.
2 Fly - Passive [2 second duration] [Empowered 4 second flight] [No CD for normal flight]
Dash-jumping, double jumping, or teleporting(item/ability teleport, warpstrone/quantum, doorman door); gain flight. Flight speed is increased based off of total move speed
Using a map teleporter: temporarily grants you greatly increased flight duration, stamina recovery, move speed and gives your abilities bonus spirit power. [20 second duration for empowerment] [5 minute CD]
Upgrade 1: +2 Stamina
Upgrade 2: While in flight: Abilities apply a 30% slow
Max Upgrade: -90 sec CD map teleportation empowerment
Note: Flight gets faster based on how much move speed he has.
3 Infestation - [30 second CD]
Spit out a small projectile, if it hits an enemy they become marked and take a small amount of spirit damage. The mark causes your abilities, weapons, and melee to build up on the target, eventually doing a burst of damage and immoblizing for 1 second.
Upgrade 1: +.5 immobilization
Upgrade 2: +Burst Damage
Max Upgrade: On burst, Spreads infestation to all nearby npcs and heroes
Note: Weapons and melee cause infestation to build up at lower effectiveness.
Ult Swarm - [Longish CD]
Attract a swarm of flies at the target location, if targeted on terrain recently effected by Regurgitation the swarm spreads along the entirety of the area. Enemies in the swarm take spirit dammage.
Upon recasting while active, the swarm moves towards the target location.
Upgrade 1: Slows 30%
Upgrade 2: CDR
Max upgrade: Allies in the swarm take reduced spirit damage from enemies outside the swarm
Note: Swarm can climb up and spread onto walls and vertical surfaces, it should also dynamically interact with terrain instead of just phasing into walls. Ex: If you cast it outside a building then cast it inside a building it should fill the building through the entrances instead of just appearing inside.
