The Cursed Relic item does not interrupt Infernus’s ultimate ability.
In the test video I recorded in the sandbox, Infernus’s ultimate is not interrupted by the Cursed Relic item.
Let us take a closer look at what the Cursed Relic item is:
It is an item with a 55-second cooldown that applies the following effects:
Now, Infernus’s ultimate is an ability that creates a stun explosion: upon activation (pressing key 4), it detonates after a 3.25-second delay.
This appears to be a bug. The Cursed Relic item does not perform as described in its tooltip and does not justify its 6400 cost. I spend 6400 souls, use the item, yet the opposing Infernus can simply activate ability 2, chase me down, and his ultimate remains unaffected.
In short, Cursed Relic does not interrupt Infernus’s ultimate.
Additionally, there is a second video suggesting that even a stun does not interrupt Infernus’s ultimate. I am not entirely certain whether this is an error, as Infernus does not seem to gain any stun resistance during the ultimate. Nevertheless, unlike some other characters whose ultimates can be interrupted, his ultimate continues unaffected.
(For comparison, it also does not interrupt Viscous’s ultimate, but since controlling Viscous’s “Go Ball” is difficult, it is understandable that it remains uninterrupted.)

The last sentence is important: it does not remove buffs associated with an ultimate ability. These buffs may include effects such as movement speed increases or life steal. While such effects could normally disrupt an ability, the item does not affect or remove the enhancements granted during an ultimate.Curses an enemy — interrupting, silencing, disarming, and preventing item usage. Removes all non-ultimate buffs.
