Temp-banned by server failing to connect

This seems to be a common bug after the Apollo update.

I got a 6 hour ban this morning (as a bots-exclusive player to boot) from a bot match that failed to connect/fill properly and booted me back into the Hideout after a 5 minute hangtime in the loading screen. Really hope they fix this because I don't want to be eating giant day-long bans for something like this.

I've had a similar thing. Banned after connection dropped while seaching for a match. Then I tried to search again and its banned me for an hour. Literally for nothing. Never left a game early before.

joined a game queue and it took too long so i tried to unqueue but it wouldn't work so I restarted the game and got a six hr ban, i wanna play maaann

Hello, I would like to add to this thread by writing here how to execute same issue again and recive a ban:

> Open the game.
> In the hideout immidietly open "Play" and select game mode.
> Game still tries to load assets, shaders, textures etc.
> Your queue ends up and game attempts to connect you to the server.
> Because the Bad Apple didn't load yet, you're still with "Connecting to the Server" message and upon finished loading, of all the assets, the Deadlock programme freezes (and tries to load me in). The match gets terminated and doesn't show in the match history.

Unfortunetly, somehow it is treated like being afk or disconnecting from the match and you recive a ban.

Same thing happened to a friend a few days ago, he got a 2 hour ban.
I don't think failing to load into a match should result in a ban. I hope Valve will consider this.

This has happened to for several times. I have only abandoned a match once, but I failed to load into a game multiples times and have received a lot of 24 hours bans. They seriously need to fix this. It's incredibly frustrating.
