Temp ban for steam outage

Was kicked multiple times in a row during the steam outage that just happened. Eventually was able to rejoin after the servers stabilized. Now I can not play.

just experienced this also. servers went down and came back to a 2 hour ban.

Yep. Just happened to me. Seems extremely weird that the game wouldn't be able to detect this, and not ban as a result?
