Sometimes when flying an owl indoors, the camera will randomly clip through a wall to the left nearby for 1-2 seconds, seemingly in map boundaries but on the other side of the wall. You still have full and normal control of the owl, but you're basically blind while this happens. Got it to happen a few times by attempting to pilot the owl through these rooms and through doors in these two spots (tier 3 neutral room on amber green, lane veil hole on amber blue) shown in screenshots. Seems to be semi-random but happens more often if you near-graze a wall.
