Switch between two types of protection.
Weapon protection: gives Bullet Resist and Weapon Damage, but reduces your Spirit Resist.

Spirit protection: gives Spirit Resist and Spirit Power, but reduces your Bullet Resist.

Cannot be used for 4s if attacked by enemy Hero.

While weapon protection is chosen:
+50% Bullet Resist | +40% Weapon Damage | -25% Spirit resist

While spirit protection is chosen:
+50% Spirit Resist | +20 Spirit Power | -25% Bullet Resist
 
honestly I like the idea, I like these types of micro heavy items. It sorta provides a nice way for better players to be able to stand out above the rest.
Some changes I would suggest would be to lower the resists a bit, 50% resist is crazy even with lowering the other resists (it can be a heavy counter to some heroes). Personally I'd remove the spirit power and weapon damage increases and go full in on the resist aspect, the 40% weapon damage feels a bit disproportional compared to spirit power.
 
Honestly the 'Cannot be used for 4s if attacked by enemy Hero.' kind of kills this item.

It also feels completely pointless since most heroes deal both types of damage.

A lot of gun heroes still deal a lot of spirit damage, so it would mostly help against pure spirit heroes, and only in 1v1s.

The 4s cooldown should definitely be removed.
But I don't think the item is bad at all, heroes usually spec into one type of damage more than the other usually. Imo hybrid builds are not as common as they used to be

afaic the only heroes who deal 90% gun damage are vyper and haze, and both of them can buy tesla bullets (and often do)

Mirage, Seven, Wraith and Infernus deal hybrid damage.

For spirit its way more common to deal 90% spirit damage, but even then spirit resilience or spell breaker would probably be better
