This is a Tier 4 vitality item, a sort of protoganist divine barrier.
Unlike its older brother, the new item doesn't actually provide a barrier, doesn't clear debuffs, and can't be cast from afar.
It works like this:
It looks like a Skurge projectile when cast.
After impact, a zone unfolds around the target (like a Skurge) and lasts for 10 seconds.
While the item is active, an ally can enter the zone at any time, and a thorny vine (similar to an Eevee vine) will immediately attach to them.
While the connection is active, some of the damage the source takes will be transferred to others.
60/25/15 -- Cor/ally / Damage lost during the transfer.
20/50/30 -- Cor/2 allies / Lost damage. If two allies are connected (Maximum number)
I understand, 20% damage may sound crazy. BUT, the effective range is only 10-12 meters.
This gives enemies the opportunity to put a group of three heroes into any kind of crowd control, plus a significant portion of the damage is simply transferred to other heroes.
The end result is a situation where a V-formation can practically ignore solo-targeted skills and continue the offensive, BUT this will be a group that is terrified of control skills and is poor at countering "bombs."
DMG in such an item, theoretically, should be applied before interaction with resists and not ignored.
I'll attach an AI picture here until I learn to draw and attach normal art.

Hello everyone :3
This is my first item concept. I hope to post many more like this here.
Starving Ward is the first item in the "Heal~o~Christmas" pack. I think it's clear which holiday I wanted to release these items for. -///-
