I know that Celeste is seen as REALLY powerful in comp leagues right now and I was thinking of what an effective counter item for her ult could look like and I thought it would be neat if there was an item that worked like an anti-magic field in D&D where projectiles and effects from Spirit abilities were neutralized in a radius and realized that something like that already exists in TF2: The Short Circuit!
So I think a T4 item that let you have an effect similar to the Short Circuit's right click effect but on a cooldown rather than using metal and specifically for abilities that use projectiles like Doorman bell, Celeste ult, Holliday barrels, Gray Talon owl, etc. would make for some really fun counterplay as well as an interesting consideration for counter-counter play like maneuvering the aforementioned GT owl around the affected area or using one ult to bait it out for another to go through.
I think this works on its own for the T4 investment, but I also think it might also work as an upgrade of Silence Wave if the counterplay for certain tools needs the support and an added silence effect within the radius as a viable alternative to Cursed Relic.
If I were to put a name to it, I think "Absorption Flux" sounds cool in my head but "Absorbing Globe" might be more practical for player comprehension.
