T3 Vitality item - Enhancement Booster

I was thinking about an item from HoN that is very influential in the game. The Bottle. It allows players to store Runes that spawn in the mid-river (A parallel to Bridge buffs here).

This item is what came of me trying to adapt something similar to Deadlock:

By itself it provides fairly minimal benefit (Only a modest buff to duration) but it makes it so that your Bridge buffs last longer, persist through death (which lets you be more aggressive about securing and using them) along with a slowly accumulating bonus every time you actually get one.

Getting both every 5 minutes is highly impractical (along with time consuming), so I tried to balance the bonuses gained around expecting someone who picks this up to getting 1 every time they spawn every 5 minutes. At first it's a pretty poor investment, but after about 20-25 minutes it starts to grow more and more effective, landing at around the same stat value of other T3 items. The longer the match runs and the more Bridge buffs the buyer can secure, the better it gets.

The Bottle is an item from dota, didn't even know that HoN had its own version. The concept is interesting, but I think the item will be better as a T2. It's just too weak for 3k, considering that runes spawn only every 5 minutes.

Spending 3k on a 20 minute investment is NOT worth it, since most t3 items also help you fight consistently. If you didn't get the rune, this item is useless for the next 5 min. The accumulation buffs are really not stronger than golden statue ones, and paying 3k to MAYBE get a single gold statue buff every rune spawn is horrible. The buff extension time can be reduced if it's too good for 1250.

I will point out that the buffs you get for collecting the Bridge buffs are at least as strong as a pair of Gold urn buffs from late game. 5% Fire rate AND weapon damage is a lot at 10 minutes. I know it costs 3k souls, but it's entirely possible to pick this up before 10 minutes if you expect to be controlling the Bridge buffs. Add to that the fact that the buffs already last just shy of 3 minutes (160s each). This brings their duration up to 220s (or just shy of 4 minutes) AND causes the buff to persist through death. This basically means that you will almost CONSTANTLY be under the effects of 1 or more of the bridge buffs. That's a huge power spike besides the added bonus of late game urn buffs stacking up.

I would be VERY nervous about making this a T2 item since it would functionally make it a required purchase on everyone. As it is the cost makes it expensive enough that it's a tough decision.

That said, the buffs it provides are similar, but not the same, as Gold statue buffs for a reason. Bonus Resists stack diminishingly with other items, but they are multiplicative with +Health. Gold Urns also don't provide Ability Range, and only other items provide bonus Movespeed (And this could easily stack up over +1.0 move speed which is the highest movespeed buff available outside of Fortitude).

I could see adding another T2 component to it to make it more expensive, but I don't think this should be a T2 item.

Again, this would be an item you pick up when you expect to be controlling Bridge buffs. If you aren't certain about your ability to secure them, it wouldn't be something you consider. Heroes that are good at securing them would look at this strongly, while other heroes probably wouldn't (which is fine. Not everyone should be getting every item).

Yes, dota has this exact item, difference is that it saves the buff and lets you activate it when you want it to be activated.

This is a great version for deadlock but I think I agree that it should be cheaper than a 3k. Thats a lot to invest in a green slot for most characters.

Maybe have it be an upgrade from a T1 thats not that useful past lane phase. Maybe the monster rounds can upgrade to this making it 1750?

Also, the dota item is cheap enough to be purchased as your first item before the game even starts and often purchased by mid laners as their first back item. I cant remember off the top of my head but I want to say its about 300g. That is the equivalent to a t1.

This could very easily be a green t1 with minimal stats and an active that revolves around lane sustain.

The problem is that you can get a normal 3k item and get CONSTANT buffs from it without needing to pick runes. It will also speed up your farm speed and let you fight more. This item does nothing on its own without A LOT of stacks. You are getting the bridge buffs regardless of if you have this or not, persisting through death is not worth 3k.
