I'm not a dev or anything, but just a thought, you should include your specs and your game's graphic settings. It might help with a bug report like this since it's not happening to other people. :3 Hope that helps!

I'm running the game on a RX 6700 XT on Windows 11.
Alt+tab doesn't usually freeze the game for me, but when I set my window mode to Fullscreen and lower the resolution to something below native, then the game will start to constantly minimize itself. When rendering with Vulkan, spamming left mouse button after opening the game usually resolves the issue, while in DX11 this can cause the game to go completely black and/or become unresponsive. This sounds most like the issue you're describing.
Maybe you could try setting the game to run at your display's native resolution if it isn't already, and tweak the upscaling settings if you need to improve performance. You could also try setting the game to render using Vulkan if it's currently set to DX11 (you have to restart the game for this to take effect).
Some other oddities I noticed:

- If my window mode is set to Borderless Window, pressing alt+enter fully freezes the game for me until I press it again.
- If my window mode is set to Fullscreen, pressing alt+enter freezes the game for a second, but then goes back to normal.
- If my window mode is set to Windowed, pressing alt+enter makes the window grow slightly, moreso vertically than horizontally. Eventually it stretches past the extents of my monitor.
In Vulkan rendering:
- Pressing alt+enter seems to do nothing on any window mode.
