stuck screen bug

visually the game freezes but i can still type and hear stuff. it seems like the only thing i can do to fix it temporarily is restart game. I thought it was lag at first but it never recovers and i can still hear what is going on. I turned all HUD telemetry to see if i could spot something and will update if i notice anything. I had no issues in the morning yesterday but had issues last night and this morning. In one game someone said it was FSR but ive tried FSR and DLSS and have the same issue. I dont expect it to be a resource problem since i have a ryzen 5700x3d, 3090, and 64 gb of ram.

match 33590445
match 33609433, i was struggling to find when it happened in game but there was one at ~45:00

This too me sounds like gpu crashing for some reason. I had this issue with my old pc when running Cyberpunk and other games even though the pc I had shouldnt be having any issues. Turned out it was a heating problem causing my GPU to overheat and crash.

Have you checked temperatures by chance?

good idea, ill make sure i have my hardware monitor open next time i play

I had problems this match 33624905 , i monitored my cpu and gpu temps and nothing stood out to me. I also tried switching between directx11 and vulcan during the game and still had issues. I have made sure that i have my gpu drivers up to date. I then played a private bots game for ~25 minutes and did not have any issues.

My current suspicion is that its some kinda network or deadlock server issue. If anyone has any suggestions for testing my network I am open to suggestions. For now I am gonna try some online coop bot matches and see if the problem occurs there so im i dont end up accidently griefing any more online matches.

I think ive determined its network jitter issue and am gonna test some stuff on my end. I did try reinstalling the game and i got kicked back to the main menu for lagging out for the first time so that was better than force quitting the game.

if its on your end, its your ISP. You either need better internet in general. Ive had some real crappy ISPs in the past and right now I got ATT fiber at 300 mbs and ive noticed 1 jitter ever and I am pushing close to 1k matches played.

otherwise, you may need to open some ports to allow for all your data packs to travel through properly. I am not a network guy so I cant explain how to do that beyond this lol.

Now, I will say this week there have been several complaints, including in games I played the other day, of teammates having massive lag spikes, both teams having DCs mid game, etc. I didnt notice anything at all during these times but my team was saying it felt like someone was using a lag switch. It happened everytime we got into a skirm/teamfight with 4 or more people. Could simply be Deadlock servers pooping themselves.

i am pretty confident that i had my motherboard wifi antenna and my dongle antenna both enable and my pc switching between the two is what was causing the jitter. I think my game was not responding correctly and would bug out getting me stuck until i restarted. I have not had any issues since i disabled the crappy wifi antenna. hope this can help someone else
