Steamdeck escape key issue

When playing in hero practice on my steamdeck oled and I press the sandwich bars (escape key) the escape menu opens now if I close it and try to open it again the escape menu will not display instead I will get an fps drop around 10 frames now if I spam the key some times it will open the menu and then close it instantly will I am spamming the fps will consistently drop to the low 30s.

Same thing happens when in desktop mode but the fps loss seems less significant. Also escape menus comes on semi consistently if I press tab and escape at the same time (it only takes like 6 tries)

Just to confirm this still happens. Happened to me earlier today in lane training
