  1. Join Party
  2. Bind Party Voice Chat (to 1, haven't tried other keys)
  3. Press Voice Chat button
  4. Steam crashes in background (some processes still stuck, have to be manually killed)
  5. Game goes unresponsive

On Linux (Manjaro Linux).

I'm having this issue as well, if you talk at all with the microphone set to open Deadlock will crash along with the Steam client, changing Proton versions doesn't seem to help, and reinstalling Steam doesn't appear to work either. I even tried the native runtime version of Steam but that didn't fix the issue either.

I've been having a similar issue. The game will close after about 3-5 seconds of trying to use voice chat (push to talk) inside of any match. I'm running Arch Linux (kernel 6.10.6-arch1-1) and Plasma 6.1.4 on Wayland.

Same thing happened repeatedly on Pop OS. Team chat works fine, but the moment i hit the party voice chat button the game crashes.

Still an issue going on almost a year now. I've tried a million things to debug it. Seems like party voice is just a no-go on Linux.

I found a workaround to this if anyone's interested.

The bug doesn't exist in Windows, so I installed Steam in Bottles with the soda-9.0-1 runner.

Now I can use this Windows version of Steam to run Deadlock, and party voice doesn't crash anymore.

Note that Steam itself has some graphical glitches when run like this, but it works fine to just launch Deadlock.

Performance is about the same for me. It also seems to have fixed some other minor bugs I had before.
