Spectating a (private) game that ends early seems to cause an indefinite loading loop

Was watching a friend (not through match id)
the game suddenly went from this loading loop even though the game spectating didn't end yet

getting this too. happens every time I spectate an active game from someone on my friends list. has been happening for a few weeks now
