Sound Ward

(500 souls Consumable?), Vitality Item. Only one usage per player.

A visible medium sized speaker/record player that loudly plays music whenever any hero (enemy or allied) is within it's radius (30-45m?). Both teams can hear the music it plays. Placeable and destroyable similar to McGinnis Turrets. The ward has a visible icon on the minimap for the team that has placed it. When activated the map icon glows.

Given the large sightlines on the map traditional wards from other MOBAs would be way too strong and show enemy positions at nearly all times. However, large team "deathballing" can be frustrating later in the game as there is no safe way to gauge enemy positions.

Making friendly players activate the ward makes it weaker as an offensive tool and gives teams playing from behind some breathing room.

I think giving vision to this game would make things worst, because of the fact it gives players less freedom to act in the fog of war. Considering there is much higher mobility, better escape, tankiness, comeback, etc, it is not reliant on vision vs the game like league. The appeal of deadlock to me at least is very much on how forgiving it is. It allow for normalisation of skill ranges, although very good players will have incremental differences that will add up over time.
