I am also seeing this on and off during games. It doesn't seem to show up in replays as far as I can tell.

Yes, I have had the same issue here with orb being invisible. This has now happened on at least 10 games of mine since this Thursdays patch.

This remains a problem, and some of my friends who weren't previously experiencing it now are. It makes for really frustrating lanes.

Can confirm this is still a issue and I want to add I only encountered this issue post hero labs update, as in when they added the Hero labs.
This is also when I had to put the game on all low settings so maybe that has something to do with it?

I've had this happen to me so many times that whenever it happens i instinctually jump and punch/desperately shoot around to try to claim it

Same with me. I thought it was intended because it's so common, but I remember reading that there was a small grace period for last hitting vs denying so it never made sense to me.

I feel what is happening is that you can hit orb moment it spawns but it doesnt register it as kiling it, only removes visual. In my expirience it is most common with melee hits on friendly orbs right after you killed enemy creep with gun - you dont confirm orb but it gets invisible and enemy can shoot it

Nope, because enemies can see it and deny it

If y'all need to look at a game: any of my games. It happens in every one, like half the time

+1 bumping this because it's been happening mega frequently to me too as Dynamo. Maybe 1 in 10 souls are invisible at least.

It seems like the issue is caused by the latency added to orbs to better account for high ping. It seems like the client is thinking it popped the orb, and thus not rendering it. Perhaps just giving orbs a minimum rendering lifetime would solve this?

idk what happened today but it is significantly worse today. I had one game where I couldn't see any orbs at all.

Yes. I'm dealing with this almost every game I go through. It's annoying because the enemy seems to see the orb but I can't.

I got same problem and other side see and stole my orbs and this give me very disadventage.

I used to only get the invisible soul orb bug when they were prefired at. Now I'm getting them consistently and unsure why...

just lost a game real bad because I couldnt confirm almost any of my souls against a haze

The bug also happens on my games consistently. It's really annoying cause it means I am a liability at the laning phase
