Small Bebop-Spellslinger interaction

I am making a Gunbop build and wanted to put Spellslinger in it.

When you don't get into combat beforehand, Uppercut, Bomb placement/explosion, and Grapple all don't trigger Spellslinger stacks, causing the entire combo to get none.

I can see why Bomb placement and Grapple don't, but why uppercut?

Uppercut does put you in combat, but I guess it's the first thing that puts you in combat.

Is this intentional and I should just deal with it or is it unintentional?

It goes from a very good item to an item I'm not sure should be in the build.

Spellslinger only works once you are in combat, meaning that the ability that starts combat will not give you the buff. This is true for all heroes.

You can try this by shooting someone first with your gun and then using any of the abilities. They should then correctly give you the stacking spellslinger buff.

I think they changed it after realising that characters like warden could abuse their abilities(2) to keep the buff even out of combat
