Slowdown to 7fps while playing in 120fps

My computer has no problem running deadlock. But when I try to play in 120fps, my computer's fans will randomly spin up and my game drops to 7fps and the audio becomes incredibly choppy. The game runs perfectly fine in 120fps outside of this. I've never had it happen in hideout, explore nyc, or sandbox. This lasts until i restart my computer, or sometimes it fixes itself briefly. It happens more games than not, I don't think I've experienced it while playing in 60fps. I haven't tested the game in any other frame rates.

I have issues where it's fairly stuttery when there are more than 4 players or a lot of minions are on screen since the update a couple of days ago. The second I die my frame rate is buttery smooth until I'm back up. It's been getting worse and worse the past few days.
