Slick - The Wicked Frog

Some of you might have seen this before but here goes the finished post, i decided to create a new thread for him because it's actually finished now and not just a bunch of sketches, WIPs and ideas.

Tried to add a bit of stuff here and there that would make this character more fun to imagine existing in the deadlock universe, as i didn't search much into what we have when it comes to deadlock lore, it might be wrong or not make much sense, but at least I had a lot of fun with it.

So as much as there are some ideas here and there when it comes to gameplay, most of this post is on the art and concept side of things, so if anyone wants to come in and share any ideas that this character gave, you're welcome!

Slick

1 - Hop n’ Bop - Hold Down the Ability Button to Maintain a Jump. Release to strike downwards with a Shovel, dealing Heavy Melee Damage in a wide area. If you touch the ground during the downward strike, make a vaulting lunge for Light Melee Damage. You have full control in all stages.

2 - Spirit Lillies - Throw a Lily Flower that gives Vision. It blooms into a Lily Pad when an enemy steps on it, creating a zone that slows enemy Fire Rate. When you enter the zone, Stun enemies and give allies lasting Regen while bouncing yourself into the air.

3 - Flickshot - Flick your sticky Tongue. When your Tongue hits an enemy, it applies Fading Slow to them and you Lifesteal off all damage they take. You get to reactivate to drag you and the target to a center point.

4 - Dark Passage - Passively when Heroes die near you, friend or foe, gain 2 Coins. Alt-Cast to spend Coins and make Puddles placing the Ultimate on a Faster Cooldown. Normal Activation fires a damaging skillshot that creates a Passage on the first wall hit. Moving through it causes you to perform an animation and phase to the other side then deal damage when you emerge. During this animation you can click on the mini-map to select a Puddle to appear at instead.

Ability Reasoning

1: Since it is a hold down skill, it lets you gain free vertical momentum no matter what. Releasing and hitting dirt with the shovel makes you vault.

2: Gives you multiple forms of area denial
that escalate based on how you approach the fight.

3: Lets you force enemies out of position.

4: Based on Slick’s ferry service ad. He can use a portal gun, but then he gets to decide where he wants to pop out when he goes through.
