Despite being an indestructible projectile, Silence Wave is viewed as an enemy for NPCs to attempt to attack.
For example, Guardians, Walkers, Mid-Boss, etc will direct their beams towards the Silence Wave so long as it is the closest 'target' and they are active. Guardians will attempt to melee it if it draws too close, Walkers will attempt to stomp if it enters stomp range (In this case, even if the Walker is not active), Denizens will try to target it if their current target leaves line of sight while the Wave is in flight near them.
The only exceptions to this behavior appear to be Mini Turrets and Trooper creeps, which do not attempt to fire upon the Silence Wave under any circumstances that I can create.
This behavior is presumably unintentional, although funny.
