Serious McGuinness Spectral wall freeze

As of the Billy update, spectral wall will get stuck, pausing on objects and not progressing. However, if Mcguiness is NOT aiming at the object, the wall does not freeze.

This happens with solid, collidable objects, even the ball in the new practice zone.

Again, to reproduce:
-look directly at solid object (not in a spot where you ca nsee through, like a doorway)
-spectral wall will freeze when sighted object is encountered.

I was able to have a friend reproduce this exact glitch. Assuming no patch addresses this, Mcguiness is now unplayable.1755730488521.png
 
Thank you for posting the issue, I was about to make the same post.

Match ID you can confirm it happened: 39117347 (4:20 & 5:25 in game time)

Unless this is a stealth balance update, I believe this is a bug. Especially considering the inconsistency with which it gets stuck.

Here is some testing I've done.
  • Thought it might be the new map geometry or prop classes, but it happened in the sandbox as well, which I believe still has the same type props as before?
  • It's specifically the middle piece of the wall that gets stuck, none of the other pieces get it stuck (I think)
  • Angle and distance affect how much it gets stuck. It gets stuck a lot more on closer objects and from a diagonal angle.
  • Didn't get stuck on building walls, it was things that are probably props
