Yoshi and other Dev’s
An idea crossed my mind the other day that I hope you all also see as a cool and interesting change. With the return of self bomb it made me think about other abilities that have a cast effect and made me think “hey. why cant other characters self cast”. So i bring before you every charter with a cast ability and how I think their self cast would work
Doorman: This idea has been thrown around a lot, and its to good of an idea not to have. Let Doorman ult his teammates. Instead of sending them to a haunting hallway of door and despair, they are instead sent to a relaxing penthouse where they get to heal and get abilities back and can leave whenever they want (or are forced out by a timer). This would give Doorman a lot more support play, as he could save teammates who are in trouble and need a quick save, and yes, he would be able to self-cast this, letting him give himself a relaxing break after opening doors all day long.
Geist: Geist already can pick between her enemy to steal their health or give her own health to heal an enemy. I think it would be cool if Geist could take her own health to amp up her next ability. Something like Shiv rage, where if you self-cast life drain on yourself, your next ability is amped up and does more damage or a unique effect. Geist already as a lot of self-damage to do damage, and I think this would play into it really well.
Mo and Krill: Now this is not a good idea what so ever but its very funny. I think that if Mo could be able to cast combo on himself. While combod, Mo becomes unable to move, shoot, or use any ability like normal combo, but instead becomes unable to be moved or hit with any CC and gets a bunch of resist. The trade of is, while you cant do anything, your oppenent cant do anything to you either. You become an unmovable wall for 4 seconds.
Seven: Very simple, just give Seven back his self-stun. It was in the game a while ago, and a lot of people miss it (myself included). Not to many notes or ideas, just bring back self-stun.
Vyper: This is one that I have been thinking about a lot. Let Vyper self-cast venom. When self-cast, Vyper gets amped up, giving her a boost in slide distance and move speed. Vyper is known in lore as very trashy anyways, so the idea of her using her own venom to give herself a quick fix is not a very far-fetched idea. Now the venom would still damage her. Not a lot, make it only do like 20% of what it normally does so that Vypers can’t just spam this all the time.
Warden: Let Warden self-cast cage. When Warden self-casts cage, if he stays in the ring, he gets a damage amp of lets say 15%. This amp ends whenever Warden leaves the cage or the timer runs out. This gives Warden a choice of if they want to try and cage their enemy for a potential free kill or cage themself for a quick damage spike.
Are all of these good? No but they are funny and I think they would make deadlock matches more interesting.
