Looks like Rend's spirit damage and melee damage each individually proc Mercurial Magnum's imbued damage, doubling it.

Additionally, here's an odd Mercurial Magnum bullet on-hit bug. There's an edge case where Drifter's outermost bullets don't proc the extra damage, but only if the primary(?) bullet terminates on geometry within a few frames of damaging the target. This is such a niche bug that it has next to no relevance in an actual match.
