Rem – Lil Helpers: Multiple Attachments to Single Target via Alt-Cast (Press & Hold)

Rem’s Lil Helpers ability can attach multiple helpers to a single allied hero when using Tag Along with the “Press and Hold” alt-cast setting. Holding the cast input continuously causes additional helpers to be applied, bypassing the intended per-target limit.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Select Rem in a match or practice environment.
2. Set the ability alt-cast behavior to “Press and Hold.”
3. Enter Tag Along mode for an allied hero.
4. Hold down the cast/alt-cast input.

The Press and Hold input appears to repeatedly trigger the attach logic while the button is held, without validating whether the target already has an attached helper. This suggests a missing or improperly scoped per-target attachment check during sustained input handling.

I did notice after recording that I had a mod enabled, however the results are the same on a vanilla client.

Update: This is not only with the Press and Hold setting activated, it occurs with all options on the Alt Self Casting

Thanks for the report.
The bug is especially annoying with Press and Hold mode, because the other two options require two keystrokes.
I prefer playing with Press and Hold, but with that mode enabled you just often times waste all of your lil helpers on a single target.
Since you can't have hero-specific alternate cast mode, you have to change the mode back and forth when switching to another character.

I have encountered this issue as well while using the Press and Hold alt-cast mode. I was able to recreate it with other modes, but the "Press and Hold" mode can cause them all to get cast on the other player near instantly.
