Question: Do people still get banned if someone who invited them gets banned?

I remember seeing in patch notes that if the inviter gets banned, everyone he invited gets perma banned too. But I can't find it now.

All well and good, but there's many posts on reddit, discord, etc where people can ask for invites so it'd be real easy for one person to troll dozens upon dozens of people

Yeah, that's the main concern. One person who invites like 500 people can get all of them banned.
