Character Synopsis:
Sam "PI" Hester is a middle aged Ex-Pinkerton who lived through the glory and fall of the Pinkerton private detective agency. Working jobs from union busting in his youth, to bounty hunting in his prime, Hester has the experience for any job. These days, it's unclear who Hester works for. Some say his allegiances lie with wall street moguls. Others say Hester has fallen deep into the practice of the occult, serving cult leaders and mystics. Whatever his reasons, Hester is here for The Ritual, and he will see it done.
Playstyle Concept:
PI is based on the concept of asymmetrical vision which is unique to Deadlock. By using his Stakeout ability from behind cover, or when his enemies are impaired, PI can build up a debilitating debuff before engaging. Pi's other abilities have synergy with Stakeout, each of which manipulates vision in a different way, while also rounding out his kit and theme. The current concept kit promotes an ambush gun-heavy playstyle, or a supportive debuff and survivability playstyle.
Abilities:
1: Stakeout
Stow your weapon and aim at nearby enemies to build up a debuff over time. Debuffed enemies have Spirit and Bullet resist reduced for a short time. Buildup is much faster if enemies cannot see you. Maximizing Stakeout's debuff also reveals enemies through walls while it lasts. Firing your weapon cancels Stakeout.
2: Smoke Bomb
Throw a smoke bomb which deals spirit damage in a small area and produces smoke. Allies can see through this smoke, while enemies cannot.
Passive: Release a small puff of smoke and become invisible when dashing and air dashing.
A historic Winchester style rifle that hits hard at good range, with a slower firing rate.

T2: Stakeout's range is improved, and enemies with 50% or more buildup are revealed through walls.
T3: Maximizing Stakeout's debuff does some spirit damage and briefly curses the target.

T1: Improve Cooldown
T2: Landing a direct hit on an enemy impairs them, reducing their vision and disabling their minimap temporarily.
T3: Smoke bomb becomes charged and gains +1 charge.
3: StalkerPassive: Release a small puff of smoke and become invisible when dashing and air dashing.
T1: +1 Base stamina.
T2: Remain invisible for a short duration after dashing.
T3: +50% stamina recovery.
4: Shadow Refuge
Turn into a shadow and fall into the ground below you for a very short duration. While imbedded in the ground, you cannot move or attack, but you can use Stakeout and are impervious to attacks. Using Shadow Refuge also clears all debuffs and reloads your weapon. Shadow Refuge can be cancelled early.T1: Reduced Cooldown.
T2: You have greatly increased stamina and health regeneration while in Shadow refuge, and your abilities cooldown twice as fast.
T3: Recast Shadow Refuge while in the ground to teleport a short distance away before re-emerging.
