Almost every single bot match has ended this way, never being able to complete. The time it happens is inconsistent, and this has been happening for a WHILE now. My ping skyrockets and I'm frozen in place. Strangely, the bots seem to be functioning perfectly fine. This is because the server is, hosted on VALVE servers rather than being hosted locally. Even when my ping eventually returns to normal, I am stuck like this.
I do have a theory for whats going on. While private bot matches are hosted on a server rather than ran locally, they still depend on a human player to function properly. I also use Starlink, which tends to have random, extremely short and almost unnoticable dropouts as a result of not finding a satellite. This is typically fine and nearly unnoticable, and only proves to a problem if a game has no leeway or reconnection system.
So I end up dropping out, but coming back almost instantly. Were this a normal game with humans, that would be fine. but because I've dropped out, that means there is no longer a human player left. So, I just end up stuck in this limbo state where, because I don't "exist" in the match anymore, I'm frozen in place and the game stops properly rendering what happens. As you can see in the video, the match is still happening. There are deaths, the yellow walker shoots, and an Infernus appears on the zipline at the end of the clip. But because the game thinks there's no human player on the server, it's locked me in place and is no longer reporting everything to the client.
