Possible Low Priority System Bug / Endless LP Queue Cycle

Hello, I would like to report what seems to be a serious issue (or possible bug) with the Low Priority system in Deadlock.

I was originally given 1 Low Priority match. I completed it by winning. After that, I was immediately given 2 more LP matches. I also won those and stopped playing for the day.

The next day, I played again, and after my first match, I suddenly received 7 more Low Priority matches. I completed those as well.

Then the following day, after playing just one normal match again, I was assigned 8 more Low Priority matches.

This pattern keeps repeating.

I am not intentionally feeding, griefing, AFKing, or abandoning games. I play normally, but LP keeps being added in larger amounts even after I finish previous penalties.

Another major issue is the quality of Low Priority matches themselves:

  • Players are often placed on completely random servers instead of their normal region.
  • For example, I live in Europe and normally play with around 50 ping, but LP can place me on American servers with 150+ ping.
  • This creates an extremely poor gameplay experience.
  • LP matches often contain:
    • AFK players
    • griefers
    • toxic players
    • suspected cheaters
    • generally low-quality matchmaking

Because of this, escaping Low Priority feels almost impossible.

You complete LP matches, then get reported again by the same type of disruptive players, receive more LP, and the cycle continues endlessly.

This creates the feeling of a punishment loop rather than a fair rehabilitation system.

My concerns are:

  1. Is Low Priority functioning correctly?
  2. Are penalties being incorrectly stacked or delayed?
  3. Why are players forced onto random high-ping servers?
  4. Is there any protection against endless report loops inside LP?

Right now, it feels less like punishment for actual misconduct and more like being trapped in a broken system where leaving is nearly impossible.

Please investigate whether this is intended behavior or a bug.
Thank you.

The biggest issue in all of this is that this should have occured months ago, it seems now that they are trying to punish griefers by making reports useful, but it still seems buggy because there is still a chance you might escape low prio by not getting reported.

You are where you belong, amongst other disruptive players who constantly greif their teammates and their games.
"This creates the feeling of a punishment loop rather than a fair rehabilitation system."
Lets be real here, you would never change the way you ruin games. You would just come back and do the same, leave your teammate's lane at 2 mintues so that they can get abused 1v2 and even get their walker pressured at 6 minutes. Your behavior doesnt change post lane either, you will constantly ignore fights and not helping teammates for skirmishes or urns. Leaving your team to lose man disadvantages because you want to selfishly gather stats through boxes.
It is so insane that you are only being punished now after doing this for months. Seems to be the system is working just fine :) Glad to see the system finally taking care of the most disruptive eternus player so far.

I have personally played with this individual and i can say from experince that this player does leave the lane post 2 min to do boxes and leave the tower to die, wich is weakening the mental state of the players in the team, since losing tower early on, leads to ganks from that lane wich ends up losing another tower and that is damaging the quality of the game. Eternus 6 should be the rank where every player knows what theyre doing and playing like that is the opposite.

I can answer all 4 of your questions
  1. Is Low Priority functioning correctly? - Yes, we all doubted it before, but you convinced us otherwise
  2. Are penalties being incorrectly stacked or delayed? - No
  3. Why are players forced onto random high-ping servers? - Because there are very few players in low priority, and if the match search was tied to a region, some players could spend hours searching for games, and in Asia and Oceania the search could be endless
  4. Is there any protection against endless report loops inside LP? - Play normally and listen to players who are unhappy with how you play and behave. (Reread if this doesn't work)

The most frustrating thing about this cycle of low-priority matches is that reports work in low-priority matches, even though they shouldn't, like in Dota. With working reports in low-priority, you can still earn a few more low-priority games, even if some crazy player just randomly reports you. I broke out of this vicious cycle myself, playing 22+ matches, and I understand how frustrating it all is. Don't listen to those who tell you that you belong in low-priority. You can overcome this on your own, the main thing is to stay positive.

Good maybe after this you'll stop leaving lane at 2 minutes, being essentially afk for 30+ minutes, making the game horrible to play for your entire team, do not talk about disruptive play when you're essentially queueing to afk for the majority of your games.
