Plutonica - spirit of atomic power, gun carry

I just mean from a design perspective. Valve is huge on readability. You can guess what role most if not all of the heros fill just by looking at their silhouette. This kind of bucks that trend. You see a massive top heavy orb and you wouldn't guess squishy gun dps.
i'm gonna use chunky McGinnis as an excuse. Both have periodic spirit damage (radiation and mini-turrets), both have some from of lockdown (proton flux and wall), both have sustain (med specter and fission field), and both have a spirit nuke ult. And also both have a nice gun potential with unique passive on their weapons.

Also size is not very consistent with character roles anyway - dynamo is a mage support and drifter is a 1v1 assassin and they both are gigantic, Lady Geist is a half-tank and she is slim and elegant, and Graves is a close ranged summoner but she is tiny. And so on

People who want a smaller design are boringgggg. She looks spindly inside the armor, i think its fine. I understand readability but would you expect shiv to be so tanky from looking at him? I think we can let the occasional unique design slide
That would completely go against Valve's great insistence on readability. Going to have to go on Valve's judgement on this one. I find the design cool, but designs are functional, too.

Isn't that not proving readability? McGinnis is about set up, Dynamo is filled with tricks/utility (but lacking bulky shoulders), drifter is big, but also somewhat lean, indicating a creepy hunting style thing, and Lady Geist is primarly mean and GREEN with envy. She takes and is unfair, indicated by her fancy cruella-style clothing and her cruel arm wicked arm.

Her being tank is a sub playstyle of hers.

Welp, and plutonica looks like a walking demon core/atomic bomb. The fact that she effortlessly carries around this massive shell conveys her extraordinary power. Also you pretty much can't confuse her with anyone else in the cast, or with any other object in the game.

Also massive hitbox may serve as a balancing feature - you are supposed to fight her from save distance, just like other huge heroes - dynamo, drifter, kelvin, abrams and so on

!!!!
Add a caution/nuke symbol to indicate she is fragile but powerful, hence being heavily armoured and therefore due to size, being easy to hit! That can work!

I mean if you're going into such intricacies as being "green with envy" I'm pretty sure that most people could assume a glowing frail woman stuck inside of a large metal helmet that doesn't fit her is a carry, but either way like I said, she's still more likely to play a tanky frontline carry given her sustain, ability to heal allies and block projectiles, so eother way her design is fitting.

You need to compare like to like. Geist is in the same height range as lash and warden, and wears a coat that's about 3 feet thick at the top, notably jutting straight back a fair distance so her sidled pose still has a broad silhouette at the top. Graves is closer in size to haze, Holliday, and Pocket who are real threats up close but get punished hard for positioning mistakes.

This is a bit of a puddle pond discussion with most characters, and some you might get as low as a 70% guess off their silhouette but that's not where this character lands. This character would be as tall or taller than the tallest characters in the game (with the hovering and using normal people from your illustrations as scale) with broader shoulders and a bigger head than anyone in the game. There's a lot of gray area in the middle, but your character sits on the far end of the spectrum as an example of a tall top heavy silhouette. Making them the only tall top heavy character that doesn't want to get into melee range with you. It's a lake winning the award for worlds largest puddle.

None of this is intended to undermine your incredible work, this is an excellent character concept, but that's my feedback based on Valves stated and generally adhered to focus on character Silhouettes being very important.

It simply needs to be considered and tweaked a bit and then it would be perfect.

Godtier designs are amazing because you won't get it right the first time, making it when you do get it perfect that much more satisfying. We simply want the designs to best reflect what is best for Deadlock, and also the person who made it. Constructive is good!
