Plutonica - spirit of atomic power, gun carry

awesome design and art

just some notes and questions...

- maybe your ultimate has an alt-cast to put spirit damage on yourself to deal damage in an AOE if there's no valid target (could deal less damage and also deal self damage too)

- 1st ability is a passive with no active component - should be a 3rd ability?

- can you move during fission field? - alt-cast mechanics to follow a unit or move to a target position?

1) i guess yeah, you could roleplay as a bomb which is fitting. Maybe she explodes when she dies with her ult up, as an option

2) ye, Radiation would work better as a 3rd ability, but i needed to mention it first because it's the core thing

3) fission field supposed to be like a dynamo heal in terms of moving it around

Also, about crits and headshots, i have multiple options:

1) All her body unprotected by the sphere is a crit area, but the crit is reduced.

2) You need to actually hit her head through the hole in the sphere to crit, but the crit is slightly increased

3) All the top part of the sphere is a crit area, and crit is slightly reduced

3rd is best. Take the seven route.

Okay, 12x scaling is NOT okay lmfao.

Perhaps 4.2x scaling? And when on self cast (when below 5%, they trigger a self destruction sequence with slower move speed? You could kill them earlier, but they can build for it by getting cheat death to prevent death or still continue with explosion.

Meaning:
If you explode with cheat death - you do full damage, but get put at 1 hp, from cheat death.
If you die during self destruct with cheat death - you will be in cheat death, you will move even slower (ult self slow + cheat death), and you can still explode during cheat death, but you would do dampen damage (1.68 spirit ratio, comparable to base spirit scaling of viscous splatter).

WOW ulta is *12 on spirit, if on average any character can have from 60-120 spirit, then this turns into 1200-2000 damage with one hit. Also, with pumping, this can be done once every 200 seconds with the ability to finish someone off if there are less than 4% of life left.

I'm not sure how honest this is, on the one hand, it's not such a common thing, but it seems to me that a cooldown of 300 seconds should be left. Well, or at least level 2 pumping should be done for not -100 (maybe -50 seconds).

Even tanks won't be able to withstand her onslaught, as her 1 skill takes damage a percentage of health, which is a problem for all tanks

I love the hero design and the ability kit synergizes with each other. This hero is designed to be a tank killer. I like the ultimate mechanic where you need to have 200 radiation stacks before it can be used for the massive damage.

x12 scaling might be too much but I think it's fair considering the counterplays to it and cooldown of 5mins or 2mins 20s. I'm assuming the ult can only be casted on LOS and has a certain cast range and the Radiation stacks is dispellable. If the scaling is not viable then a x6 can be considered.

Her character design is great, it looks super sick, I do think that some values on how radiation functions are missing, such as it's cooldown, and stack lifetime. The abilities are really sick though, fission field may be a bit overtuned because at T3 you would be able to keep it up more than half the time, so it would absolutely destroy and gun carries. Annihilation is definitely balanced as long as it has a certain range or requires targeting and the radiation stacks take a bit to build up and aren't long lived, but I would also say that since it's such a large amount of damage it might be too easy to counter even though before that it might be a bit busted, so I would suggest that a percentage of it's damage is dealt as pure damage. I also was wondering, does fission fields healing also apply to Plutonica, or only her allies?

Legalise nuclear bombs. Amazing theme and art and the kit is actually so cool! Radiation stacks are a neat idea and having people be irradiated and spreading to others is a cool play on the bullet stack trope in this game. The shield is cool and being able to alt cast it for a longer cooldown but bigger radius is just a really neat piece of design space the game hasnt really explored yet. The ult is very funny also, it would be fun if it required more stacks but it just guaranteed executes at any health and they just disintegrate instantly.

These forums never cease to amaze me with the creativity on display

Great concept, my only thought about it is the silhouette doesn't really match the role. Looks big and bulky like a bruiser/fighter, but would play like a gun carry.

Perhaps the glow can indicate carry potential, and the bigger size makes it easier to hit, but is armoured. Could do extra damage when shooting in the hole.

I just mean from a design perspective. Valve is huge on readability. You can guess what role most if not all of the heros fill just by looking at their silhouette. This kind of bucks that trend. You see a massive top heavy orb and you wouldn't guess squishy gun dps.

The armor should be more smaller, like Xerath shape.

People who want a smaller design are boringgggg. She looks spindly inside the armor, i think its fine. I understand readability but would you expect shiv to be so tanky from looking at him? I think we can let the occasional unique design slide

Yeah judging a characters entire playstyle by their frame doesn't make sense in Deadlock icl, also if you actually think about her potential playstyle, it's HIGHLY likely she'd be a tank frontline carry similar to Victor, especially when considering fission field
