Playing Bebop, getting assists on my teammates death (and even myself)

Since the latest patch, with Bebop, it seems like I'm managing to get assists on my teammates deaths, or even my own deaths

My teammates do see that I get the assist, I get a +1 to the counter, but it seems like they do not see any damage from me in the death recap
I think it is caused by the bomb
