Plated Armor's Deflection Chance is 100% vs. Mid Boss

I don't know if I'm just extremely lucky when it comes to the deflection chance, which doesn't seem to be the case, or if the item/Mid Boss is bugged, but Plated Armor negates all damage dealt by the Mid Boss with seemingly a 100% chance.
