GUARDIAN'S CALL - T4 UPGRADE FOR GUARDIAN WARD
Grants nearby allies a spirit damage barrier for x amount of time, and grants an aura that boosts HP regen.

In so many games I feel I need counterplay to AOE spirit damage, and Pipe of Insight/Barrior Idol would be a perfect fit for Deadlock how it is right now.

and perhaps as a iteration on this item: the description could be "Provide allies with multi-target barriers that grant spirit resist for x duration" to get around having damage-type specific barriers? This would make the item like a barrier version of Heroic Aura

Seems OP on Paige, since it gives move speed too.
Though for spell resist, Scourge seems pretty good already?

If u are truly this baby brained it can instead be like a heroic aura esque spirit res aoe buff.

This is an item that is multitarget and grants multiple people spirit res, whereas scourge is more of a specific item to put on a bruiser or frontlining m1 like geist to get the most value out of it, and is singletarget, so it would serve a different niche.

Don’t be rude man. People clearly don’t like playing into barriers with how they interact with resists when the only way to purge them is a 6400 item that reduces your total damage output. The spirit equivalent of a heroic aura is neat though, reminded me of that conduit item in brawl.

And until they bring more ways to shred or remove barriers, I doubt more are introduced to the game, barriers were annoying pre shop rework so they changed how they work, and it still didn’t help because shieldings had been broken for nearly half a year after.

The gist of my post is that i want an aoe spirit res aura which is what the function of pipe of insight, which is the title of the thread. I agree that their should be like a t3 barrier shred item or some way to hit the barriers. A heroic aura type item would be perfect for what i am suggesting.

I like this idea! Pipe of Insight is a classic staple of Dota 2 and Deadlock is already such a strong spiritual successor to it.

It would be really nice to see some sort of defensive counter to the insane amounts of spirit burst some comps put out. (That's less selfish than spirit resil/spellbreaker)

Maybe it could work like a one-time counterspell for the team, blocking the next immediate instance(s?) of spirit damage that hits nearby players. (as a standalone t4 item or something and perhaps a damage threshold of some sort like spellbreaker?)
