Hi everyone,
I’ve run into a strange performance issue in Deadlock that seems to happen only on my system, and I’m hoping someone might have some insight.
Description:
When I launch the game and stay in a lobby or on a map with just a few heroes, I get around 200 FPS.
However, as soon as I add about 11 heroes total (for example, 6 allies + 5 enemies), the FPS instantly drops to 120–130, even though CPU and GPU usage remain quite low.
Details:
Has anyone else experienced this FPS drop when more heroes are active?
Do you think it’s a game-side issue, or could something on my setup be causing it?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or similar experiences!

Details:
- GPU load: ~60–70% (sometimes drops to 40%)
- CPU load: ~25–30%
- No thermal throttling or temperature spikes
- Happens instantly after heroes appear
- Graphics settings don’t affect it (tried min and max)
- Reinstalled the game
- Verified files through Steam
- Updated NVIDIA drivers
- Restarted PC
- Enabled Legacy Game Compatibility Mode in BIOS
- CPU: Intel Core i7-12700F
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4070
- RAM: 64 GB DDR4 3600 MHz
- OS: Windows 10 (fully updated)
