FPS drop when ping increases sharply

During large team fights, I sometimes have a ping (This is one of the problems), before it was not so terrible, but recently a sharp high increase in ping is accompanied by a drop in FPS from 110-80 to 30-40. In general, the plan of such a FPS I am very embarrassed. Nvidia shows GPU utilization at ~6% and CPU at ~40-60%. At the same time FPS is quite low for my system (I have a laptop, but there is no overheating during the game). I might try to record it on video.
