Paradox's Kinetic Carbine damage doesn't add up

Trying multiple builds with Paradox; the amplification on Kinetic Carbine doesn't seem to apply on attack. my standard weapon attacks tend to deal more damage than Carbine. If i am not mistaken Kinetic Carbine should be her heavy hitting move but it falls short
 
The ability does 1.85x (or 2.25x) the damage of a 5-round burst, turned into Spirit Damage, which is exactly what the ability description states. Where's the bug?
 
my 5 round burst is dealing more damage than a single hit of Carbine. which makes it seem that the multiplier isn't being applied properly
