Main Attack: Summoned Swords

  • Vergil summons and then after a delay fires a (very) slow moving projectile. Can be fired during ALL abilities and other animations.
Alt-Fire: Katana combo

  • Rather than aim, Vergil can perform a 3 hit melee combo (one swing per button press). Attacking costs ammo. Each hit can be parried, the attack string is fast enough that a single well timed parry can catch all 3, but parrying only blocks damage and does not stun Vergil. The first two attacks do 80% light melee damage, the last one does 120%. Attacks can hit multiple enemies at once. First two swings are closer range and quicker, last is more horizontal and hits a roughly 140° arc in front of Vergil, ~5 meter range.
Ability 1: Upper Slash

  • Vergil slices in a line in front of him at an upwards angle, launching enemies into the air (6 meter base range, same mechanic as dynamo stomp/lash slam/holiday barrel). Hold the button to follow enemies into the air. 24 second base cooldown w/ a -10 second upgrade. Damage can be parried but like bebop still launches (though still has reduced air control/dodge delay of the non-bebop launchers). Does heavy melee damage.
Ability 2: Judgement Cut

  • Vergil unsheathes katana at the space in front of him, creating an area attack shaped like an orb. Pressing the ability button and releasing immediately will cut directly in front of Vergil with no delay. Holding the ability button allows Vergil to project the attack outwards (I.e. like McGinnis wall), up to 15 meters away from him (base). Cooldown of 40 seconds, has charges (2 maximum without rapid recharge). Ability upgrades include decreasing the time it takes to aim the orb further away (again think of the travel time of McGinnis wall). Spirit damage. Activating the ability LOCKS Vergil in place, both on ground and in air (no sliding like Yamato).
Ability 3: Trick

  • Vergil instantly teleports directly next to the last enemy he hit with summoned sword. Does no damage. Requires line of sight to Vergil character model but does not require the enemy to be on-screen (e.g. they could be behind/above/below you). Base cooldown of 20, T1 gives +75 hp barrier on teleport, t2 upgrades cooldown to 12 seconds, and tier 3 changes barrier to +200 and +10% weapon damage buff and +10% melee damage stacked on top
Ability 4: Devil Trigger

  • Instant activation, for 5 seconds, Vergil gains +3m/s move speed, +3m/s sprint speed, +20%bullet/spirit resist, +10% weapon damage, +60 spirit, and +40hp/s health regen. Max upgrade allows Vergil to activate devil trigger during a grab disable (dynamo ult, holiday ult, bebop hook, lash ult, mo ult, paradox ult, mirage tornado, warden hook, wraith ult slam effect), escape that grab, and become unstoppable for 1.5 seconds (only if he escapes a grab). Only works during the grab. Example 1 - you ult during lash death slam but before he pulls everyone up, you also get pulled and thrown. You ult during the actual throw, you escape it and become unstoppable. Example 2 - if you ult before being hit by wraith ult projectile, you get slammed and cursed, but if you activate during the slam you escape it and become unstoppable, without being cursed. Base cooldown of 120 seconds with cooldown reduction ability upgrade to 95. hp regen scales w/ spirit.
