With the new patch, there's clearly a new direction with Lash's ult to make it less geared toward displacement with the removal of spirit scaling throw distance.

I'm fine with his new direction, however, the power from this ability came from the displacement rather than the damage. Now that the displacement is toned down, Lash ult does lose a lot of it's "hidden damage" of throwing into guardians/walkers (unless they are full on diving) or those few extra meters out of cover that allow finishing off targets with the gun. Given that Death Slam is a relatively telegraphed ult (Lash needs to be high to get the most out of it's combo), and there are many abilities and items to counter it, it doesn't feel as rewarding to hit.

To keep it simple, I think it's time to properly give Death Slam more spirit scaling and/or flat damage, either base or in an AP upgrade, so the slam actually does a good chunk of damage. There was a lot of emphasis on making ults feel more impactful this patch with respect to damage, e.g Wraith, Infernus, Ivy, while Lash's big bombastic ult called Death(!) Slam does less damage than Drifter rend. I think it's time to give this ult some numbers that let it live up to the name!

That's my main point I'd like to make. Some last thoughts about Lash overall- I do think the base throw distance is still a little short, maybe 8-10 more meters throw distance and take some off the T1 ult upgrade, and flog does feel inconsistent until the T3 upgrade, but I do like the direction Lash is going in overall....unlike Bebop which is in my clearly unbiased unopinion: sucks.
