Paradox not able to use Kinetic Carbine

1. This is intended, the tooltip specifically says your next shot will be empowered.
2. Did this happen in a match? If so MatchID? I tested in a Sandbox and I was able to use swap during binding word.

1. Am i tripping? it does not state in the tooltip that you cannot fire KC during reload.
2. Yes thishappened in a match i can get the match id tomorrow.
You can trigger kc charge during reload but not fire it which implies that you do not need ammo to charge it.

It specifically says "your next shot will release the energy", which is implied that you need to actually have a bullet loaded to shoot it.. charging it and firing the shot are two different things. You can charge it while reloading but you can't fire a shot that doesn't exist

The powered up shot also takes one ammo, as the tooltip implies. So yes, you wouldn't be able to fire it when you are out of ammo

And you're not able to fire your normal weapon during reload either, so you wouldn't be able to fire the charged up shot either.

So triggering during reload magically gives you a bullet from the future. You are probably correct but i feel like this shuldnt be a thing, either dissalow triggering charge during reload or let me fire it aswell.
