Paradox Kinetic Carbine damage scaling incorrectly applied to Express Shot projectiles

Description:


A severe damage calculation bug exists involving Paradox's Kinetic Carbine and the item Express Shot. Paradox's weapon fires a 5-round burst, meaning Express Shot triggers an additional 5-round volley (10 rounds total).


The Issue:


The game misidentifies the 5 bonus pellets from Express Shot as the "Empowered Shot" from Kinetic Carbine. Effectively, the min damage multiplier of Knetix Carbine is being applied to all 5 extra projectiles theoretically, rather than the single intended bullet. This allows Paradox to bypass the "single-shot" limitation of the Carbine, dealing an unintended burst of over 4,000 damage in a single rotation after purchasing some items.


Root Cause:


Like the Return Fire bug before,its a priority flagging error where the item-triggered extra shots consume the "Empowered" status before the actual Kinetic Carbine projectile is even fired.
