Paradox can oneshot

This isn't technically a bug, but it is a major power imbalance, and I don't know where else to put it. Paradox players are buying vortex web, echo shard, superior duration, and shadow weave. This lets them oneshot combo almost anyone. They shadow weave to sneak up on you, throw a grenade at you, vortex web, put a wall on you to silence, echo shard, carbine, swap through the wall, then top it off with a melee if you still have health. The only real counter to this is ethereal shift.
I've played three games against paradox players who run this disgusting build, and it absolutely ruins the game. If you don't buy E-shift ASAP, they just run away with free kills. Even if you do buy it, they just attack someone else or wait for you to use it in another situation. If they are lucky to have one or two teammates who can also stun you, then you have almost no chance of winning.
Terrible build to run if you have any human decency, and shame on all those players for ruining those matches.
I urge the devs to please do something to nerf either Paradox, Vortex Web, or both. Otherwise, this build will become a major problem soon.

this is a problem with calico and bebop as well- they really need to take a good look at hero balance, its suppose to be a teamfighting game, not annihilate the enemy in under a second game, nothing about that is fun to play

this feels like a very niche way to play that requires a lot of net worth to pull off. not saying your experience is invalid, but have you tried counterbuying or playing around it? if a paradox is building around their damage amp with the grenade, they should be rewarded for keeping you in the radius of the grenade, especially for dropping 12k+ on doing only that.

People saying "have you bought counter items?" YES. I HAVE. Still busted as hell. "It's a costly investment." Then why did the same Paradox I fought twice in a row rush Echo Shard and Vortex Web (buying slowing hex first item) early game, and never get punished for it? TWO GAMES in a row.
I bought Counterspell and barely blocked any of the incoming damage or stuns; I bought Spirit Resist items, and still took too much damage; Like I said in the original post, Ethereal Shift was the only item that had any affect.
Yes, counter items help, but if she's too strong, that's still a problem.
We all know that Mina, for example, is too strong at the moment. Slowing Hex is a great counter for her, but the response to "Mina is too strong," is not "Did you try getting slowing hex?" Of course you buy slowing hex for Mina, but she STILL needs adjustments.
Plus, I feel that this particular combo on Paradox is anti-fun and antithetical to how the character is supposed to be played. It's one thing to have a build for a character that is niche or weird, but it's another for it to grant free kills for spamming a bunch of actives and AOE abilities.

Think about it this way, if you assume that a character is using 5 abilities and 3 active items just for one INDIVIDUAL kill, and not being punished what else do you want to be done to this character? Antithetical to how the character is to be played? as opposed to the way most people play her which is just throw a bomb into a group and then shoot then swap one person into the team? The only reason this started happening is because you guys become frustrated about parts of her kit that were not even that oppressive like her gun, now her gun is a bit weaker and they slightly tuned up the bomb but very slightly. If she is completely folding you with every single possible bit of utility she has, then she deserves the kill regardless of how you look at it. (I mean come on, are you even BUYING spirit resist? that completely caps her damage if she has no gun investment!). If you know how she's playing, then you have to counter her accordingly, you would do the same for any other stealth or flank hero like haze, lash, calico or drifter. I hardly believe the paradox you're fighting rushed echo shard and THEN vortex web in that order, because that leaves her extremely vulnerable for an excessive amount of time especially in laning phase. If you aren't punishing them then you're giving them the opportunity to snowball with this kind of build. Unfortunately for you this is probably the most fun way to play paradox at the moment since its all mechanical and is a fun combo for a lot of reward at high investment.

your team must not be playing the game if a paradox can rush troll items and not get punished by it

You know like half the cast can one shot, right? Haze, Warden, Doorman, Sinclair, Lash, Mina, Grey Talon, Calico, Bebop, Abrams, Wraith, Yamato, Viscous, Vyper... That's just kind of how the game works, you are allowed to build an extremely greedy build that allows you to get solo pickoffs consistently. Your build is probably terrible if they're not being punished for having 3 6400 purples and a 6400 gun with no greens.
