I don't get why Rem should deserve to have his Magic Carpet interaction fixed inside of 2 months of release while Paige has been this way since October at least.

This can be easily tested. Go to sandbox as Rem, Equip Magic Carpet, Go to Lane Minions (Creeps) and use Lil Helpers on them, Use Magic Carpet, When the Lil Helpers attack the Lane Minions Magic Carpet Will Stop.

One simple solution to this (short-term if unintended, or long-term if it's intended for Carpet to be cancelled by burn dmg):

just make the burning trail stop as soon as Magic Carpet begins. The burn damage is not that valuable, being able to actually use Magic Carpet is.

Nah, this is very confusing gameplay.

Just make carpet be stopped by player CURRENT actions, not by actions existing in world even if they were started by the player in the past.

agree that it is confusing
i only pitch it as a band-aid that may be easier to code until damage from spells with ongoing effects can be categorized differently. however they did figure it out with Ivy tether and Rem helpers. so I wish we could get whoever sorted those out to also do a pass on the rest of the roster who need it.

Other abilities that cancel the carpet include:
- Bebop's Sticky Bomb explosion
- Doorman's Call Bell explosion and Hotel Guest dealing damage
- Graves' Jar of Dead skulls dealing damage, someone walking through Grasping Hands and ghouls detonation from Borrowed Decree
- Grey Talon's Spirit Snare triggering
- Holliday's Powder Keg explosion
- Paige's Bookwyrm and Rallying Charge dealing damage
- Paradox's Pulse Grenade
- Seven's Lightning Ball and Static Charge damage
- Venator's Hex-Lined Snap Trap
- Vyper's Lethal Venom
- Warden's Binding Word triggering
- Spirit Burn triggering
- Tank Buster triggering

Abram's Siphon Life, Celeste's Shining Wonder, Lady Geist's Life Drain, Victor's Aura of Suffering also cancel the carpet, but it probably should work that way.

Some of them could be argued whether they should or should not cancel the carpet, but I leave it to the devs to decide.
