Opening settings on Linux freezes game

The game loads fine, but as soon as I hit escape and click the settings menu, the game freezes and I have to force quit Deadlock. Audio engine seems to still work.

Update: After trying a second time and waiting, the settings do eventually load after around 1-2 minutes.
